Meet the Team
Mark read Social Anthropology and Economics at Cambridge and followed this with an Art History course under the auspices of the Victoria and Albert.
He then worked as an art consultant and an occasional lecturer, later using his established connections with Italy and Italian marble companies to build up what was to become Vitruvius Ltd.
Mark’s love of design and knowledge of natural stone make him ideally placed to offer advice on materials and aesthetics to clients with a variety of different requirements.
David studied Interior Design at Bournemouth University learning all aspects of design.
He has over 10 years experience working as a project designer for an Interior Design Consultancy, developing all the necessary skills to run projects from conception to completion.
David is a new addition in 2014, bringing with him the creativity and project management background to be the link between the client, the site and the workshop.
Valerie was a senior account executive at art shippers Gander and White, where she developed extensive managerial experience and contacts in the design industry.
In 1987 Valerie joined force with Mark to establish Vitruvius Ltd as a customer focused stone contractor specialising in high quality residential projects.
Valerie’s business acumen and strong work ethic have been the driving force behind Vitruvius for nearly three decades, helping endear the company to clients old and new.
